Root Canals
Root canal procedures are recommended for those who have suffered lesions from cavities or are dealing with infectious conditions. Periodontal Treatment
Our patients are offered standard cleaning twice a year. For patients with periodontal disease, we perform scaling and root planing (deep cleaning) to prevent spreading. Although periodontal disease is not reversible, home care and compliance with necessary dental treatments slow down the pathogenic process. Therefore, the aim of a deep cleaning is to remove plaque and calculus, which reduce the level of bacterial toxins.
In some cases, the scaling and root planing process is followed by adjunctive therapy—local delivery of antimicrobial medication (Arestin) or prescription of a systemic antibiotic.
